Description

Our newest mount for the Garmin 796 features our unique yoke faceplate adaptor that allows the mounting of your 796 in any model and year Beechcraft with the Ram Horn style control wheel. The faceplate adaptor takes the place of your Beech yoke faceplate (which probably includes a Datron clock you never use and maybe a post light). The mount attaches to this new faceplate, positioning the 796 directly in front of you. The 796 measures 5″ by 8″, leaving plenty of room on either side to see and operate all control wheel switches without any interference. Our quick-release T-handle allows you to adjust the vertical tilt of the unit from table-top flat to just past vertical. Though the 796 is large, our mount positions the unit so that with the yoke in its normal in-flight position the GPS does not block the view of anything on the instrument panel. Removal of a single bolt allows you to take the unit home for updating and reprogramming. And, the faceplate adaptor looks really good all by itself with no device attached to it. As with all of our mounts, it holds the unit in place with no vibration or movement during flight.
