Garmin 496 Mount for Beech Baron (Model 241 021)

Our mount for Garmin's compact and capable 2/3/496 series of GPS units mates directly to the inspection port on the back side of your Baron's factory yoke arm with no drilling or modifications to your airplane. The AMPS attachment plate mates to the supplied Garmin cradle, and the overall installation is compact, neat, and tidy.

The mount positions the GPS just to the right of the yoke, under your throttle quadrant housing, and out of the way of both hands. The GPS does not restrict your view of your instrument panel. This central position of the 496 allows easy right hand operation of the device, and affords your co-pilot an excellent view of the display. The mount itself is virtually invisible from the pilot's position. Quick and easy to install, absolutely stable, this mount keeps your GPS where it's put. The mount works equally well on single or dual yokes. Removal of a single bolt allows you to take the unit home for updating and reprogramming.

  • CNC machined 6061 T6 aluminum alloy with aerospace grade corrosion-resistant gold alodine finish and stainless steel hardware
  • GPS mounting plate with standard electronics industry AMPS hole pattern mates directly to the Garmin cradle
  • 90 arm allows easy adjustment for angle and tilt
  • Rock-solid locking adjustments
  • Rigid, sturdy construction that prevents vibration or movement from engine vibration or turbulence

Got a Baron with the yoke arm installed V-up? We've got a version of our kit for that too. In this installation, the mount arm comes out from underneath the yoke arm, instead of out over the top. (Place Buy Now link for the Baron V-up Mount)

Want your GPS positioned behind the yoke instead of to the right? We have a mount for that - the Beech Behind the Yoke GPS Mount (Model 241 023) (Buy Now button for this product here)
